We are very excited that you are considering Community Health Systems (CHS) for your pharmacy health system administration residency. CHSPSC, LLC is a healthcare management company that offers a plethora of opportunities for you to be involved in various areas of healthcare at both hospital and corporate healthcare management levels. This residency is unique in that it can be tailored to you and your personal career goals. We know that finding the best residency for you can be a difficult process. Program Overview

The residency focuses on preparing the resident for a future in healthcare administration through longitudinal experiences in enterprise leadership, data analytics, formulary management, and much more. By exposing the resident to these dynamic areas of pharmacy, he/she will gain first-hand experience in developing solutions for issues in healthcare. 

The Community Health Systems HSPA Residency Program offers two different residencies depending on your career path. 

Path 1

The PGY1/PGY2 is a two year residency where the first year focuses on building clinical skills and the second year focuses on developing key leadership abilities within both the hospital and corporate pharmacy setting. 

Path 2

The PGY2 residency is a one year residency for pharmacists who have previously completed a PGY1 residency and have an interest in pursuing pharmacy administration.

Locations

The CHSPSC, LLC corporate office is located in Franklin, Tennessee. Located about 20 miles from the heart of Nashville, Franklin is known for its historic downtown and local festivals. The CHSPSC, LLC’s headquarters is located in the Cool Springs area of Franklin and is surrounded by local restaurants and shops.

  • Dr. Beach received his bachelor of pharmacy from University of North Carolina and obtained his Pharm.D. from University of Kentucky. Dr. Beach worked as a director of pharmacy, a performance improvement specialist and is currently the director of clinical pharmacy. Dr. Beach is currently the president of the American College of Healthcare Executives of Middle Tennessee and participates in a variety of pharmacy organizations. 

Sara Brandon, Pharm.D.

  • 2017 Graduate of East Tennessee State University Bill Gatton College of Pharmacy, Johnson City, TN. Dr. Brandon completed her PGY1 residency at Maury Regional Medical Center in Columbia, TN.
  • Dr. Brandon is the Assistant Director at Tennova Healthcare in Clarksville. Dr. Brandon’s current project includes implementation of a new technician workflow. Her longitudinal residency project is medication dosing labeling for pediatric crash carts.

  • Dr. Schrieber is a 2018 graduate of Drake University. She is currently the fellow for the partnership between CHS and Wolters Kluwer Health. Dr. Schrieber’s focus is in data analytics for CHS’s health system. Dr. Schrieber coordinates the CHS residency programs.
