Job Summary
The Vice President, Enterprise Transformation acts as a strategic partner and catalyst for change, fostering a culture of continuous improvement by uniting multidisciplinary teams under a shared vision for excellence. This role aligns the organization around consistent methodology, evidence-based practice, effective change management, digital transformation/automation, and the CHS Model for Improvement to achieve high quality outcomes, including, but not limited to quality, patient safety, revenue enhancement, risk mitigation, and growth. The Vice President designs, implements, and evolves enterprise transformation initiatives to ensure they consistently meet organizational needs. Serving as the corporate expert in process improvement and change management, this role partners with senior leadership across CHS to develop strategic plans for improvement, implement enterprise programs, shepherd change, and support organizational performance.
Essential Functions
- Leads the continued growth, success, and evolution of the Enterprise Transformation program to ensure alignment with organizational goals and priorities.
- Builds and develops an effective team to support clinical and non-clinical improvement, process design, and project support needs across the organization.
- Conducts organizational talent assessments to identify skill gaps and leadership readiness required to support large-scale transformation initiatives.
- Facilitates collaborative strategic planning sessions to ensure diverse voices are heard and goals are co-authored.
- Co-creates performance measures with department heads to ensure transparency and celebrate collective wins.
- Nurtures team growth by identifying strengths and providing the resources needed for collective success.
- Develops and implements evidence-based practice standards, best practice criteria, and outcome metrics to guide enterprise performance improvement.
- Identifies opportunities for Intelligent Automation (IA) and Robotic Process Automation (RPA) to streamline administrative and clinical workflows, reducing manual burden and improving accuracy.
- Provides consultative services, mentorship, and coaching to leaders and teams across CHS to strengthen organizational capacity for improvement and change.
- Builds collaborative relationships with corporate and facility leadership, staff, and physicians to drive engagement and improved operations.
- Identifies and addresses educational needs to support enterprise transformation, providing training and resources to build organizational capability.
- Navigates competing priorities through transparent dialogue and consensus-building with key stakeholders.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Nursing, Business, Healthcare Administration, or related field required
- Master's Degree or current enrollment in Nursing, Business, Healthcare Administration, or related field preferred
- More than 10 years of experience in process improvement, project management, or related fields required
- More than 10 years of experience in management and administration with direct report responsibilities required
- Proven success in leading multidisciplinary teams, analyzing metrics, and reporting financial and operational outcomes required
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Expertise in performance improvement methodologies, project management, and strategy execution.
- Demonstrated ability to lead enterprise-level transformation efforts in complex healthcare organizations.
- Strong data analysis and metrics evaluation skills to inform decision-making and track outcomes.
- Familiarity with emerging healthcare technologies, data automation platforms, and the integration of AI-driven analytics into performance improvement workstreams.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and relationship management skills.
- Strong organizational and leadership skills, with the ability to prioritize multiple initiatives and resolve conflicts.
- Exhibits a high level of emotional intelligence and is able to meet teammates from a variety of backgrounds and skill levels where they are in their career and experience level.
- Ability to inspire a community of practice where leaders at all levels feel empowered to innovate through effective coaching and mentoring as well as servant leadership across corporate and facility settings.
- Proficiency in utilizing talent assessment tools and competency frameworks to align human capital with evolving operational models.
Licenses and Certifications
- Lean Six Sigma Black Belt or higher required
- Certified Project Management Professional (PMP)-PMI preferred
