Pathologist Assistant, PRN

As a Pathologist Assistant at Grandview Medical Center, you’ll join a team and be a part of a culture that's dedicated to providing top quality care to our patients.

Job Summary 

Responsible for accessioning and processing of anatomic pathology specimens, and instrument operation and maintenance. May provide assistance with specialty specimen collection. 

Essential Functions

  • Organizes, retrieves, and re-files pathology slide and block inventory
  • Receives and accessions pathology samples
  • Receives and return external pathology material to outside institutions
  • Logs receipt and delivery of inventory
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
  • Complies with all policies and standards.

Qualifications

  • 1-2 years experience in anatomic pathology or clinical laboratory preferred

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • Ability to work independently
  • Knowledge of medical and surgical terminology.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
