Job Summary 

The Nuclear Medicine Technologist is responsible for performing complex diagnostic and therapeutic procedures using radiopharmaceuticals and advanced imaging technologies. The Nuclear Medicine Technologist II ensures patient safety, prepares and administers radiopharmaceuticals, and collaborates with medical professionals to deliver high-quality patient care. This role also involves maintaining equipment, adhering to regulatory standards, and participating in continuous education to stay current with advancements in nuclear medicine. 

Schedule: Mon - Fri, no weekends / no call, Day shift

Qualifications

  • Associate Degree graduate of an accredited program in Radiologic Technology required
  • Bachelor's Degree graduate of an accredited program in Radiologic Technology and/or Nuclear Medicine Technology program with Nuclear Medicine registry preferred
  • 1-3 years Experience as Registered Technologist required
  • 3-5 years Experience as a Nuclear Medicine Technologist in an acute care setting preferred

Licenses and Certifications

  • ARRT - American Registry of Radiologic Technologists required and
  • Licensed Radiologic Technologist as required by state required
  • BCLS - Basic Life Support required
  • NMTCB - Nuclear Medicine Tech certification preferred 

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • Knowledge of Nuclear Medicine techniques, methods, and equipment
  • Knowledge of radiation safety principles and procedures
  • Knowledge of Nuclear Medicine & PET-CT quality control and quality assurance
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
