Job Description

Job Summary 

The Aide provides support to clinical and non-clinical teams by performing a variety of tasks to facilitate efficient and effective operations. Responsibilities may include assisting with patient care activities within the scope of training, maintaining a clean and organized environment, managing supplies and equipment, and supporting departmental workflow. This role ensures adherence to safety, compliance, and quality standards while contributing to a positive experience for patients and staff. 

Essential Functions

  • Assists with patient care tasks as directed by licensed staff, such as transporting patients, providing physical assistance, or setting up equipment, ensuring safety and comfort.
  • Maintains cleanliness and organization of workspaces, equipment, and supplies to support infection prevention and regulatory compliance.
  • Prepares and organizes materials or equipment needed for procedures or daily departmental operations.
  • Stocks supplies and ensures proper inventory levels are maintained, including reporting shortages to appropriate personnel.
  • Safely transports equipment, specimens, or materials within the facility as required.
  • Communicates effectively with patients, staff, and visitors to provide assistance or relay information.
  • Monitors and reports any safety or maintenance issues to appropriate personnel to ensure a secure environment.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
  • Complies with all policies and standards.

Qualifications

  • 1-2 years of experience in a healthcare, customer service, or support role preferred

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • Basic understanding of safety, cleanliness, and infection control practices.
  • Ability to follow instructions and complete tasks accurately with minimal supervision.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills to interact professionally with patients, staff, and visitors.
  • Physical capability to perform tasks such as lifting, moving, or transporting supplies, equipment, or patients as required.
  • Flexibility to adapt to the specific needs and workflows of the assigned department or area.

Licenses and Certifications

  • BCLS - Basic Life Support required
  • NA - Nurses Aide Training preferred
