Ultrasound Tech

Required Experience / Skills:

• Two years as an Ultrasound Technologist preferred
• Echo experience preferred
• Registered with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) with the advanced registry in Sonography or the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS)

About the job:

The Ultrasound Technologist directly performs diagnostic ultrasound procedures. Ultrasound Technologist must possess a good working knowledge and professional imaging skills to assure quality management of all patients. Schedules and coordinates tests, records test results, and prepares and maintains operational logs. Calibrates and maintains equipment and orders supplies when needed. . Familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within a particular field. Relies on limited experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Performs a variety of tasks. Works under general supervision. A certain degree of creativity and latitude is required. Typically reports to a chief technologist or manager.
