Accountable and responsible for the effective delivery of competent, compassionate, and efficient patient care in Labor and Delivery, Post-Partum and Nursery. Overall direction of clinical, human resources, and financial management. Graduate of an accredited school of nursing. Valid license to practice professional nursing by state. BSN required. MSN or masters in related field preferred. Specialty certification in obstetrics preferred. Minimum of five (5) years acute care maternal/child experience. Two years of management or supervisory experience preferred. Must have excellent interpersonal and communication skills Current BCLS, NRP within 6 months, ACLS within 6 months, and AWOHNN Fetal Monitoring Course within 6 months.
Accountable and responsible for the effective delivery of competent, compassionate, and efficient patient care in Labor and Delivery, Post-Partum and Nursery. This position works collaboratively with the department Director to ensure the work environment is safe, secure, and healthy and that quality care is provided at the bedside. The Women's Services Supervisor will be a hands-on, working supervisor, providing patient care when needed but ultimately serving as a resource to staff and physicians.
