Psych Allied Therapist - First Hospital - 1.0 FT D/W
Under the administrative and clinical supervision of the Head Nurse, the Allied Therapist completes Allied therapy assessments on assigned patients, implements the group and individual Allied therapy sessions outlined in the program schedule and the patient’s treatment pan, and provides feedback to the treatment team regarding the patient’s progress.
Master’s Degree (M.S.) in Art Therapy and registration (A.T.R.) or eligibility for A.T.R. or Bachelors of Science in Occupational Therapist and O.T.R.L. or music therapy or recreational therapy required; attend and participate in continuing educational programs designed to increase awareness of changes in profession.
One (1) year clinical experience preferred. Ability to develop and maintain therapeutic relationships with patients and family members/significant others; demonstrates verbal and written communication skills and the ability to express ideas in a clear, concise and legible from; ability to interface with all disciplines; ability to organize and prioritize multifaceted workload; knowledge of principles of individual and group activities therapy techniques; practices within the Art Therapy code of Ethics; and exercises tact, diplomacy and good judgment at all times.
