Job Description

Organizes, oversees, and manages the daily activities of the Hematology, Coagulation, Urinalysis, and Serology sections of the clinical laboratory. Responsible for supervising laboratory personnel, conducting and overseeing quality assurance and quality control, and collecting, analyzing, and interpreting lab results. A level I supervisor is considered a working supervisor with little authority for personnel actions. Performs a variety of laboratory section oversight tasks. A wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected. Typically reports to a manager or director of laboratory. Bachelor's degree in Medical Technology/Clinical Laboratory Science. Familiar with a variety of the field's concepts, practices, and procedures. Minimum 4 years of Laboratory experience .

A level I supervisor is considered a working supervisor with little authority for personnel actions. Relies on extensive experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Performs a variety of tasks. A wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected. Typically reports to a manager or director of laboratory. Bachelor's degree in Chemical, Biological or Medical Technology/Clinical Laboratory Science required. Familiar with a variety of the field's concepts, practices, and procedures. Minimum 4 years of Laboratory experience . Supervisory experience preferred.

Must meet CLIA requirements for Technical Consultant or Technical Supervisor for High Complexity testing.
