CHSPSC, LLC seeks a Project Director of Women and Children Services for its Franklin, TN, headquarters’ Nursing Services team.

 

Summary:     The Project Director of Women and Children Services shall act as an interim manager for hospitals that lack a Director of OB or Pediatric Services.  This person will provide leadership to the hospital Women and Children services as assigned by Senior Director of Women and Children Services and by Division and other Senior Leaders.  This person will be required to travel and reside in the market’s location for the duration of the interim assignment and may be asked to travel to other sites as assigned.  This person will also provide expertise and be a mentor new site managers or those needing assistance in enhancing department performance. This position reports to Senior Director of Women and Children Services who may request assistance for other corporate initiatives related to Women and Children Services.  All duties will be fulfilled consistent with the mission of Community Health Systems Professional Services Corporation, LLC. 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following.  Other duties may be assigned. 

  • As an interim manager this role is responsible for evaluating and supporting the department performance improvement program in an assigned facility.
  • Assumes responsibility for the consultative development and implementation of programs and clinical initiatives and assists in evaluation of program processes in that hospital.
  • Provide on-site consultative services as needed for CHS’ Women and Health Services or Programs for other hospitals as assigned.
  • Serves as mentor and resource person for specialty Women and Children Services or service line directors at assigned hospitals.
  • Works collaboratively with others at Corporate to facilitate and improve the department program quality
  • Assists with strategic planning, market analysis, business development, growth and quality improvement plans for CHS facilities regarding programs that benefit Women and Children Services.
  • Observe professional ethics in maintaining confidential information concerning the personal, financial, and medical or employment status of patients and staff of Community Health Systems.
  • Develops collaborative relationships with corporate and hospital personnel, staff and physicians to ensure a continuum focus and improved operations.
  • Research and develop evidenced based practice standards, best practice criteria, and outcomes metrics for CHS facilities
  • Experience in coaching, mentoring and developing others in a variety of key skills including: relationship management, project management, staffing, and execution.

Qualifications:

Education:

  • Bachelors degree in Nursing, Business, Health Care Administration, or other health/business field required ; Master’s degree in Nursing, Business, Health Care Administration, or other health/business field or currently actively enrolled in Master’s degree program in Nursing, Business, Health Care Administration, or other health/business related field is preferred.

Certificates and Licenses:

  • Current Nursing Licensure Required
  • NCC Certification in Obstetric or Neonatal Nursing preferred

Experience:

  • Minimum of five years’ experience in varied disciplines of Women and Children Services and in management/administration in a large academic or tertiary facility.
  • Overall minimum of seven years healthcare related experience.
  • Technical knowledge of Women and Children services and the relevant operating room/procedural environment.
  • Knowledge of computer systems, information systems, information management, and data analysis
  • Experience in multiple health care settings or healthcare system with multiple sites of operation preferred
  • Experience in leading Perinatal Process Improvement. 
  • Excellent technical, management, operational and clinical knowledge of Women and Children services at all levels of care within an acute healthcare setting.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills, organizational skills, presentation and computer skills.
  • Demonstrate experience and the ability to manage multiple groups, interact productively with varying levels of personnel and staff, and provide program direction and development.
  • Ability to produce and utilize data for projects tracking and outcomes achievement
  • Ability to prioritize projects and resolve conflicting priorities
  • Ability to develop policies and procedures, performance dashboards and scorecards, assessment forms and other tools related to performance and quality metrics.
  • Demonstrated leadership abilities; flexibility to accept and manage change
  • Identify educational needs and provide educational support as appropriate for each facility

 Reasoning Ability:

Ability to define problems collects data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form with several abstract and concrete variables.

Computer Skills:

To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, Power Point and Visio, and Google Suite
