Job Description

The Physician Assistant provides health care services with the direction and supervision of the physician. The PA will function in an expanded role and will provide care to patients within the scope of licensure by the state and professional training. The PA is responsible for taking and recording medical histories, performing physical examinations, assessing patients' conditions, administering treatment, orders and initially interpret diagnostic tests and collaborates with patient and supervising Physician in the planning of therapeutic interventions for the care of patient. Must have high degree of judgment and decision-making skills.  Must be able to work within a team environment that requires consistent and accurate communication.

Must have graduated from an appropriate accredited program such as: Physician Assistant- training program accredited by the Committee on Allied Health Education and Accreditation. Must have certification by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA) and must maintain current BLS and ACLS certification. 

Frequently exposed to blood and/or body fluids or potentially infective materials. Requires constant hearing, speaking, vision and repetitive hand movement. Requires attention to detail despite frequent interruptions.
