Join our team! Laredo Medical Center's (LMC) Emergency Room is now hiring a full-time Paramedic (AM) to work in LMC's 326 bed acute care hospital. The department is a secure, 38 bed Emergency room in the main campus of Laredo Medical Center. We have Level III Trauma designation. Everyone in the units report directly to the Director of ER. The Hospital is located in sunny Laredo, Texas, just 150 miles south of historic San Antonio. Sign-on and relocation bonuses are available for eligible applicants! Position's Purpose and Essential Functions:

Provides advanced life support care to patients who are ill and/or injured. Transports and transfers patients and assesses the extent of an illness or injury to establish and prioritize medical procedures to follow. Applies artificial respiration or administers oxygen when necessary, dispenses antiseptic solution to prevent infection, starts and administers intravenous fluids, and performs other emergency medical procedures during the ambulance ride. Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Performs a variety of tasks. Typically reports to a manager. Familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within a particular field.

Education

Required: High School diploma or equivalent.

Required: Successful completion from an accredited Paramedic program.

Preferred: Bilingual in English and Spanish.

Experience

Required: 1-2 years of related experience

Licenses / Certificates:

Required: Registered with the EMT National Registry, licensed by State EMS Authority.

Required: BLS
