Job Description

We are currently seeking an experienced Registered Nurse to join our team in a leadership role as a Clinical Registered Nurse Coordinator in our Post Surgical Unit! Our Surgical/Telemetry Unit is a 15-bed unit focused on providing a high level of direct and individualized care to treat patients with a variety of general and specialized surgical procedures, including orthopedic, bariatric, urology, and cardiac.

**$30,000 New Sign On Bonus eligible**

Our Surgical/Telemetry Unit is a 15-bed unit focused on providing a high level of direct and individualized care to treat patients with a variety of general and specialized surgical procedures, including orthopedic, bariatric, urology, and cardiac. 

Responsibilities

Responsible for overseeing the daily operations of an assigned unit or clinic section within a hospital. Schedules employee shifts and ensures admitting and discharge functions are providing for optimal patient flow. Develop and maintain strong partnership with physicians. Ensures that hospital resources are being used in the most efficient manner. Assigns patients to appropriate health practitioners. May perform other administrative functions as necessary. 

Minimum Requirements:

  • Minimum of an Associate’s Degree in Nursing (ADN) from an accredited RN program. Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
  • Current license to practice as a Registered Nurse (RN) in Texas, or license with a compact state required upon hire
  • American Red Cross approved Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required upon hire
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification within 90 days.
  • Telemetry experience
  • Minimum of 3 years of Post Surgical experience in one or more of the following specialties:
    • Women’s Services
    • Bariatric
    • Joint and Spine 
    • Cardiac
