Physician Advisor - Case Management - 0.5 PT

Work closely with the CEO and Chief Medical Officer and Director of Case Management to devise priorities and strategies for reducing length of stay and resource utilization.  Serves as an interdisciplinary team member to coordinate the delivery of health care services leading to quality outcomes for the inpatient, ambulatory surgery and observation population with the limits of the financial and social resources available in a manner reflective of the Hospital’s philosophy and objective for maintaining and for acting as liaison between the Hospital Administration and the Medical staff.

Must be a Physician MD or DO, Board Certification preferred; current valid PA State Medical License.  Masters Degree in Medical Management / Quality preferred.

Must possess a current PA Medical Physician License, Board Certification preferred; current valid PA State Medical License, have demonstrated proficiency in written and verbal communications; possess ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with the public and have at least three years of experience in a hospital or medically related environment. Case Management/Utilization Review experience Knowledge of Performance Improvement principles preferred.  Must possess a well developed experience in Medical Administration preferred.  Must possess excellent organizational, time management and interpersonal skills; well-developed administrative abilities and leadership skills.  Must have strong interpersonal skills; friendly demeanor and low key style; passion for quality in the provision of patient care; work with physicians elected physician leadership to identify quality/utilization issues and effect needed change through education and other initiatives; data savvy and can relate date to practice variation issues.

Must possess a current PA Medical Physician License, Board Certification preferred; current valid PA State Medical License
