: Responsible for all functions of patient registration, including but not limited to obtaining accurate billing and demographic information via telephone to pre-register patients, and face to face registrations. Inform patients of their estimated financial responsibility and attempt collection of amounts due while maintain exceptional customer service skills. Assist with scheduling or rescheduling of Cancer Center clinic patients when needed.

Secondary Payor (MSP) form in its entirety, that the Patient Bill of Rights and HIPAA
Privacy Policies are given to all patients and any other government mandated forms
are completed appropriately.
8.___ Ensures that time at work is used effectively to consistently complete assigned work
during the shift. The employee will ensure patient information is entered correctly before charge
is allowed to post. Documents clear and concise account activity using the credit note function of STAR
financial system.
9.___ Performs cashier duties which involve collecting point of service payments at
the point of registration. This includes writing receipts, placing payments
in payment envelopes, and dropping payments in the drop safe to be collected by the
Manager on a daily basis.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS:
Education and formal training required:
Recommended high school diploma or equivalent. Medical terminology required within one year.
EXPERIENCE RECOMMENDED:
Prior direct customer service experience required.
Minimum of one-year experience in a clerical/accounting position preferably in a healthcare
related environment, or an insurance company.
Previous Hospital Registration experience helpful.
