The Registered Nurse assumes responsibility and accountability for patients in the Surgery UnitThe Registered Nurse is responsible for planning, directing, providing and documenting nursing care in correlation with the nursing process and in accordance with the Texas Nurse Practice Act, and Longview Regional Medical Center’s policies and procedures, physician’s orders, and Longview Regional Medical Center’s philosophy, goals and mission.

Is required to participate in rotating call schedule
After completion of OR training and competency completion, will train in CV.
Experience: · Prefer minimum of one year recent perioperative experience. Cardiovascular Experience is preferred.

Licenses/Certificates: · Current valid Registered Nurse license with the Texas Board of Nursing or compact state per policy. · Current CPR certification (American Heart Association) Healthcare Provider BLS · Must obtain ACLS and PALS within 9 months of hire · Prefer CNOR certification. |
