Leads surgical techs in the performance of the role. Performs scrub technician responsibilities during scheduled, on-call, and emergency procedures. Maintains inventory.  Mentors and trains new employees.  Establishes relationships with doctors in order to learn their preferences and be able to communicate those preferences to other team members.

Job Summary:  Leads surgical techs in the performance of the role. Performs scrub technician responsibilities during scheduled, on-call, and emergency procedures. Maintains inventory.  Mentors and trains new employees.  Establishes relationships with doctors in order to learn their preferences and be able to communicate those preferences to other team members. 

Education:  High School or equivalent. Graduate of an accredited Surgical Technologist program. 

Experience:  Three years experience as a surgical technologist.

Licenses/Certifications: BLS required; Surgical Technologist Certification within 6 months of hire (if required by state of employment).
