Director of Emergency Services

Plans, organizes and supervises Emergency Services operations. Policies/procedures are developed/ revised and processed according to the hospital’s protocol. Prepares and submits reports according  to organizational requirements and deadlines.
Responds to patient, family, staff and physician concerns in a professional manner to resolve, prevent / minimize recurrence. Maintains safe equipment and work environment . Maintains a collaborative relationship with the ED Medical Director. Functions as a Clinical resource to ED staff regarding patient care issues. Promotes open communication within the ED and all other patient care units and ancillary departments. Meets standardized ED throughput metrics. Selects orients and supervises staff. Coordinates departmental quality performance program. Managers financial resources in a cost-effective manner. Promotes professional development across the department as well as the organization.
