Woodland Heights Medical Center Med/Tele Department is now hiring a full-time Registered Nurse to work in our thriving 149-bed acute care hospital. Our Registered Nurses integrate standards of care into our daily practice that includes: commitment, effective communication, customer service, responsiveness, sense of ownership and positive attitudes.

As a Registered Nurse in the 45 bed Med/Tele Unit with Woodland Heights Medical Center, you will spend your time…


Job Duties:

  • Performing complete patient history and physical assessments of new patients
  • Helping doctors with procedure and treatments for cardiac issues
  • Checking vital signs including blood pressure, breathing patterns, and oxygen levels administering medications as needed
  • Conducting diagnostic tests
  • Calculating drug dosage, administering continuous medication infusion, and monitoring patients for effects of medication
  • Teaching patients and family members about cardiac health

Which Qualifications Do You Need? In order to set you up for success, you need the basics of…

  • Willingness to work with COVID-19 patients
  • Associate’s Degree in Nursing/ Bachelor’s Degree preferred
  • Certified as a Registered Nurse in the State of Texas
  • Also you must have current BLS, ACLS, and PALS (ACLS & PALS can be completed here at WHMC before you go on the unit)
  • Familiarity with a variety of the field’s concepts, practices, and procedures
  • Cardiac/ Telemetry

 

Working Hours:

  • 6:00 to 6:00 (12 hour shift for night shift)
  • Weekends and Holidays as required
  • 1:6 ratio
