Admissions Intake Specialist (Full Time / 4p-12:30a)

This position is based out of First Hospital in Kingston

The Admissions Intake Specialist accepts calls for the request of clinical services and attempts to satisfy the needs of the client working closely with referral sources and our medical staff for review.  This person is also responsible for the timely and accurate processing of admissions including demographics, insurance, authorizations and signatures on required forms and consents.

Education Requirements:  Must have high school diploma (or equivalent).  Direct patient care experience within a medical/mental health facility preferred. Continuing education/degree in a health related field a plus.

• Must be computer literate with data entry proficiency
• Demonstrates verbal and written communication skills and the ability to express ideas in a clear, concise and legible form
• Ability to exercise good judgement and make independent decisions, when necessary
• Ability to multi-task in a fast pace environment with organization and time management
