Chemistry Coord, Lab, FT

Responsible for planning, coordinating, and supervising all of the functions within the laboratory section including testing, staffing, training, scheduling, budgeting, maintaining supplies, and relating with laboratory administration, other laboratories, nursing service, and physicians. Ensures that services are of the best quality, are cost-contained, and are carried out in an expeditious manner. Responsible for assuring section meets all regulatory requirements (CAP, AABB, JCAHO, CLIA, etc.). Performs laboratory testing as needed or required. Updates section's computer data base as needed. Evaluates employees using laboratory and hospital guidelines and policies to include competency assessment. Encourages professional growth and development of staff.
