Northwest Medical Center - Springdale is currently seeking a leader that has the management capabilities to lead our Emergency Department team into the future. Key responsibilities of this role include:

  • Fosters a commitment within emergency services to excellence, caring, cooperation, and satisfying the needs of hospital customers.
  • Assists in development, interpretation and implementation of policies and procedures, and identifying areas needing to be addressed in policy or procedure.
  • Collaborates with all hospital departments to ensure strong, supportive organizational structure, functions and outcomes for both patients and employees.
  • Acts as a liaison between staff, family and physicians and other patient care members. Ensures adequacy of human and material resources, including capital equipment prioritization budget preparation and review.
  • Promotes an environment in which the patient care team can work cooperatively toward objectives, and facilitates communication and problem solving thru monthly staff meetings.

Position Qualifications

Education:

 Graduate of an Accredited School of Nursing.

BSN required or willing to obtain within two years.

Experience:

Has a minimum of 4 years experience in Emergency Nursing or in a critical care area preferred.

Successful experience in management and leadership position preferred

 Comprehensive knowledge of emergency and general nursing theories and practice preferred.

 Proficient in the use of IV therapy preferred.

Licenses/Certificates: 

Has current licensure as a Registered Nurse in the State of Arkansas.

Must have current CPR Certification. 

Must have or obtain ACLS and PALS within 30 days of employment 

TNCC, ENPC, CCRN (or CEN) preferred within 1 year of hire.
