Central Sterile Technician I - Central Sterile - FT - Variable Hours

The Central Sterile Technician is a member of the C.S. team with training in Central Sterile procedures pertaining to the processing of sterile and unsterile items. This position is responsible for the technical duties of: decontamination, cleaning, assembling, sterilizing, storing inventory and distribution of medical devices, instruments, trays, packs, and supplies used to deliver patient care.

Education:   

• High School Diploma or equivalency.

Experience:

• One year good work history preferred.
• Central Sterile Technicians II must have completed one year of orientation plus completed the Purdue University Central Sterile Course and shown documented competency.

Licenses/Certifications: 

• Certification in Sterile Processing preferred.
