Monitor Tech - PRN

Examines heartbeat patterns on electrocardiograph monitors. Makes note of irregular rhythms and monitors changes in heartbeat. Alerts nursing staff to changes. Ensures that monitors are functioning properly. Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Performs a variety of tasks. Works under general supervision. Reports to a supervisor or manager. High School diploma or equivalent. At least 1 year of medical experience in the field preferred. Familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within the medical field.
