Laredo Medical Center is looking for a Respiratory Therapist Certified who will be reporting to the Director of Cardiopulmonary Services. The CRT assists in the diagnosis, treatment, and management of patients with pulmonary disorders. Collects and analyzes sputum, blood, and breath specimens to determine levels of oxygen, carbon dioxide, and other gases. Also measures the lung capacity of a patient to determine if there is an impairment. Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Performs a variety of tasks. A certain degree of creativity and latitude is required.

Job Requirement Include:

Education: Associate of Science in Respiratory Therapy

Experience: Able to perform respiratory modalities and function well in various clinical settings.

Licenses / Certificates: CRT as defined by the National board of Respiratory Care (N.B.R.C.) and currently licensed by the Texas Department of Health as a Respiratory Care Practitioner. Current BLS required. Recommended: ACLS, PALS AND NRP.
