Stroke Coordinator - Nursing Administration

Organizes and oversees the clinical education RN staff in regards to Stroke patients. Assists with planning and implementation of Stroke education. Responsible for the operation of the Stroke program at all times. Liaison between staff and physicians, responsible for creating the Stroke competency program and RN competency testing, available to staff for problem solving and supervisory issues relating to Stroke Program. On call to the RN staff as needed for consultation & problem solving.  Bachelor’s degree in Nursing Registered Nurse CPR ACLS. Three years of critical care experience.

Qualifications:

Education:

• An Associate or Bachelor's degree in nursing from an accredited university or college.  [Diploma Required]

Certifications:

• Current Indiana Registered Nurse license.
• Maintain Basic Life Support (BLS/CPR) Certification.
• Maintain Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) Certification.

Minimum:

• 3 years of critical care experience

Preferred:

• 3 years CNS experience or actively pursuing
  a Clinical Nurse Specialist degree
