Schedule: Full-time, 40 hours per week
Qualifications
•Healthcare experience, food service experience or diet office experience
•Basic math skills, such as adding, subtracting, multiplying and dividing
•Adapt and respond quickly to changing priorities
•Work independently with minimal supervision
•Learn and understand therapeutic diets
•Effectively communicate verbally and in writing
Responsibilities
•It involves delivering the right food trays to the right patients as prescribed by their doctors
•Our food service professionals take pride in maintaining a clean food line and accurately preparing and serving patient meals
•Can you monitor quality control to make sure no mistakes are made in food prep and serving?
•Assist with ordering, preparation, delivery of meals, nourishments, snacks, and supplies to patients, nursing units, and kitchen
•Check menus and trays for accuracy
•Document food allergies, special needs, and likes and dislikes
•Tube feeding Products Gathers, labels, and delivers tube-feeding products and nourishments to nursing units as ordered
•Interact with patients and obtain meal selections appropriate for their therapeutic diet
•Participate in performance improvement and quality control initiatives
•Communicate with nursing staff and clinical dietitians regarding patient nutrition care requirements such as diet education, and poor or insufficient nourishment
•Understand diet order restrictions and offer appropriate choices to patients
•Verify patient information prior to delivering trays
•Follow directions as communicated in a variety of ways
•Develop effective relationships with patients, hospital departments, and other external parties
