Wound Care RN

RN Wound Care - PRN Responsible for the delivery of patient care through the nursing process. Assists with the implementation of plan of care. Provides acute and rehabilitative care for people with select disorders of the GI, GU and integumentary systems. Provides direct patient care to persons with abdominal stomas, wounds, drains, fistulas, wounds and incontinence. Demonstrates the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to the age of the patients served.  RN with current state license.  Must have at least three (3) years clinical experience as a Staff Nurse in a comparable area.

About the Job:

•  Evaluates assigned patients and plans, implements, and documents nursing care
• Assists physicians during examinations and procedures 
• Performs various patient tests and administers medications within the scope of practice of the registered nurse
• Promotes patients' independence by establishing patient care goals and teaching patients and families to understand conditions, medications, and self-care skills 21
• Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals
• 3x12s, varying days

Requirements:

• TX RN license (or Compact)
• Associates Degree in Nursing, Bachelors preferred
• BLS certification, ACLS preferred
