Job Description

Operates computerized tomography (CT) scanner and 3-D computer. Prepares area, positions patient for scans and operates scanner in accordance with established techniques and routines. Monitors patient during procedure. Explains standard procedures, and addresses patient concerns. Produces computerized tomographic scanner radiographs of specific areas as required by the departmental procedures. Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Performs a variety of tasks. Reports to a supervisor or manager. Requires an Associate Degree, completion of radiologic technology training and A.R.R.T. registration. Knowledge of principles and procedures of diagnostic radiology.
