Cafeteria Associate / Cashier, Tech II (PRN, Varied Shifts)

The Cafeteria Associate has responsibility for the cash register system; addresses customers concerns or needs in a timely manner utilizing great customer service skills; keeps cafeteria well stocked. The Cafeteria Associate may open &/or close cafeteria, helps in the grill area as needed. The cafeteria Associate is responsible for quality control standards. The Cafeteria Associate works with all equipment found inside cafeteria and FNS Department, The Cafeteria Associate preforms basic food preparation. The Cafeteria Associate is responsible for the cleaning & sanitation of the Cafeteria & Dining Room areas.

BASIC KNOWLEDGE AND ABILITIES: (education, certifications, licensure, skills,)

Education / License / Certification:

• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred
• TN Food Handler Certificate within two weeks of hire OR ServSafe certification.

Experience / Skills:

• Previous food and nutrition services experience preferred
