What Does a Registered Nurse in the OR Do? 

• Assessing patients prior to surgery and alleviating their concerns
• Responsible for performing patient's pre-operative interview prior to surgical procedure, entering orders for additional testing and labs, as well as post anesthesia recovery of patients.
• Performs accurate ongoing assessment of patient status
• Monitor patient’s vital signs to detect anomalies
