Full Time
Assists in the diagnosis, treatment, and management of patients with pulmonary disorders. Collects and analyzes sputum, blood, and breath specimens to determine levels of oxygen, carbon dioxide, and other gases. Also measures the lung capacity of a patient to determine if there is impaired function. Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Performs a variety of tasks.
POSITION PURPOSE: | ||
Responsible for providing care which includes the assessment, treatment, management and evaluation of patients with deficiencies and abnormalities of the Cardiopulmonary system. | ||
POSITION QUALIFICATIONS: | ||
Education: Graduate of an accredited Respiratory Care program as evidenced by verification of state licensure. | ||
Experience: Prefer one year of experience in a hospital or medically related environment. | ||
Licenses/Certificates: Must have current Tennessee State licensure for a Registered Respiratory Therapist. Certified in CPR. NRP PALS and ACLS required within 6 months of hire. |
