 Who are we?

Kosciusko Community Hospital is a 72-bed facility with all-private rooms, located on a 30-acre medical campus. Accredited by The Joint Commission and a part of Lutheran Health Network, we offer a variety of services, including emergency care, an urgent care center, heart and stroke care, orthopedics, occupational health, rehabilitation services, a sleep center, a wound care center and a cancer care center providing chemotherapy and radiation therapy. KCH has the only emergency department in the county that is an accredited chest pain center and accredited stroke center. We are also the only hospital in the county with inpatient capability. Performs specimen processing and testing as a generalist in all areas of the clinical laboratory. Responsible for test reporting, quality control, and instrument maintenance according to established procedures, to aid in the diagnosis, treatment, and monitoring of disease. Adheres to all regulatory and facility policies and procedures.


  • Performs generalist laboratory testing duties in  Blood Bank, Chemistry, Hematology, and Microbiology
  • Performs quality control and instrument maintenance 
  • Able to troubleshoot and resolve issues with specimens and test procedures
  • Able to analyze data and resolve issues with quality control and instrument failures
  •  Performs all duties according to established procedures, and adheres to all regulatory requirements


. Education:

  • Associates or bachelor of science degree or equivalent course curriculum in medical laboratory technology, or related science field and completion of a NACCLS approved Laboratory Science training program, or associates degree and completion of an official US Military medical laboratory procedures training course of at least 50 weeks in duration and to have held the military enlisted occupational specialty of Medical Laboratory Scientist (Laboratory Technician).  

.Additional Qualifications:

  • Certification upon hire by ASCP, AMT, NCA, AAB, or other nationally recognized certifying agency.
