Job Description

We are currently seeking an experienced NICU Registered Nurse to join our Level II L&D team on the Night Shift! ***$30,000 New Sign On Bonus eligible*** The Women's Services unit is composed of 8 labor rooms, 2 ante partum rooms, 18 postpartum rooms, 3 triage beds and 8 NICU bassinets. We also have a certified lactation consultant on-staff to assist when needed.

The Women's Services unit is composed of 8 labor rooms, 2 ante partum rooms, 18 postpartum rooms, 3 triage beds and 8 NICU bassinets. We also have a certified lactation consultant on-staff to assist when needed.

Job Duties:

  • Perform assessments, develop a plan of care, implement and evaluating the care
  • Administer medications and treatments as ordered by physicians and keeping with the current clinical nursing practice
  • Direct, monitor and evaluate the care delegated to non-licensed personnel
  • Work collaboratively with the other members of the team to assure the safe and accurate delivery of care
  • Perform a range of technical services in a cross-functional mode to comprehensively serve patient needs
  • Assume, under the direction of the Laboratory, responsibility for patient specimen testing, quality control, quality improvement, and equipment maintenance.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Minimum of an Associate’s Degree in Nursing (ADN) from an accredited RN program. Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing (BSN) preferred
  • Current license as a Registered Nurse in Texas, or licensure from a state within the Nursing Compact
  • Current American Heart Association (AHA) approved Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required upon hire. 
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) and Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification required within 90 days of hire
  • Minimum 2 years of L&D experience preferred
