Job Description

Registers patients and processes related paperwork. Duties include interviewing patients, preparing standard registration forms, and performing other admission or transfer related tasks. Expected to perform clerical and secretarial work. Required to meet payment collection goals on patient hospital co-payments, deductibles and co-insurance.  Performs a variety of tasks as assigned by department leadership. Requires a high school diploma or its equivalent and 1-2 years of work experience in a related field. Familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within a particular field. Customer service experience is highly desirable for this position.This is a 24/7 department. Shifts are typically 12 hours. Please see full position description. Bilingual candidates welcome.

ShorePoint Health Punta Gorda is located 5 minutes off I-75 in a quaint waterfront town. The hospital is surrounded with waterfront views and wonderful local restaurants.

This is a 24/7 department. ER Registration shifts are typically 8-12 hours. Attention to detail is a must as candidates will need to multitask in a face-paced environment. Shifts typically include weekends but can vary as needed. Flexibility with shifts and days available are a plus.
