Registered Nurse (RN) - PACU - PT

Evaluates assigned patients and plans, implements and documents nursing care. Assists physicians during examinations and procedures. Performs various patient tests and administers medications within the scope of practice of the registered nurse. Promotes patients' independence by establishing patient care goals and teaching patients and families to understand conditions, medications, and self-care skills. Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Performs a variety of tasks. A wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected. Typically reports to a manager or head of a unit/department. Requires an associate's degree and is certified as a registered nurse, Prefer Bachelors degree in Nursing.

The RN's working in the Surgical Services Department will be on the forefront of the dynamic growth of cardiovascular care in SW Florida. The Surgical Services team will function at the highest level of scope of practice and be able to see their contributions to patients and the community everyday. Multi-specialty and multi-functional team members will bring advanced surgical and procedural care to reality. Must be flexible, a self-starter and willing to learn everyday.

Requirements:

• Current FL RN License
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications (American Heart Association)
• Requires an associate's degree. Prefer Bachelors degree in Nursing.
• OR Circulating/Scrubbing experience is required
