Job Description

Community Health Systems is a leading operator of general acute care hospitals and outpatient care centers in communities across the United States. CHS affiliates own, lease or operate 83 affiliated hospitals in 16 states with an aggregate of approximately 13,000 licensed beds. Healthcare services are also provided in more than 1,000 outpatient sites of care including affiliated physician practices, urgent care centers, freestanding emergency departments, imaging centers, cancer centers, and ambulatory surgery centers.

CHSPSC, LLC is seeking an iSeries/AS400 programmer that is self motivated with a great attitude for their Corporate Headquarters in Franklin, TN.  This is a remote position that may require attendance in office for meetings, training or special projects.

Essential Duties:

  • Prefer at least 8 years experience of iSeries/AS400 Programming experience. 
  • Proficiency in iSeries/AS400 IBM Commands, RPG/400 coding, RPG/Free coding, CL coding, creating Commands, programming with IFS, DDM, FTP, Subfiles, Menus, Using SNDNETJOB & SNDNETF.
  • Ability to review and discuss business need and analyze the best approach to programming, researching and resolving issues in all aspects of iSeries/AS400 programming.
  • Excellent communication skills in email, presentations, when attending corporate discussions and preparing documentation. 

Qualifications and Education:

  • Associate's degree required.
  • Bachelor's degree in related field preferred.

Physical Demands:

  • Required to read, review, prepare and analyze written data and figures, using a PC or similar, and should posses visual acuity.
  • May be required to occasionally climb, push, stand, walk, reach, grasp, kneel, stoop and/or perform repetitive motions.
  • Employee is not substantially exposed to adverse environmental conditions and; therefore, job functions are typically performed under conditions such as those found with general office or administrative work.
