Position's Purpose and Essential Functions: 

Special Procedure Technologist, under the direction of a Radiologist, is a professional that directly performs or assists with diagnostic and interventional, routine, operative and angiographic procedures.  The Special Procedures Technologist must possess a good working knowledge of the diagnostic process and must demonstrate clinical competency in those areas of the department they are assigned to work.  This position must promote good public relations for the department and the hospital while maintaining patient/customer confidentiality.  The Special Procedures Technologist also applies and implements the philosophy, goals, and objectives of the hospital.

Job Requirement Include:

• Required: Graduate of an accredited program in Radiology Technology either hospital based or college degree program.
• Required: Registered with the American Registry of Radiologic Technology or eligible.
• Required: State license or certification if applicable.
• Required: BLS within 30 days of hire.
• Preferred: Advanced ARRT Registration.
