Physician Assistant - Advanced GI/Endoscopy

Assist Gastroenterologist in endoscopy lab with advanced GI procedures. Outpatient and inpatient setting; Procedural follow up visits; Pre-procedure clearance; Medical management. Collaborative workflow with gastroenterologist to ensure efficiencies and autonomy. A wide degree of creativity and latitude is required. Master's degree and must be a graduate of an accredited physician assistant program and Indiana licensed. Endoscopy experience required.

Working in collaboration with Gastroenterologist, the Physician Assistant will support the physician during Advanced GI procedures.  Inpatient and outpatient care responsibilities. 

• Provide dedicated support to Advanced Procedure Gastroenterologists
• Assist in endoscopy lab an average of 4 days/week
• Conduct inpatient rounds and consults in support of physicians
• Collaborate with team of physicians and APPs
• Assess patients for pre-procedure clearance, as appropriate
• Provide pre and post-procedure education and counseling
• Participate in interdisciplinary care planning activities
• Procedures include: EUS, ERCP, POEMs, EMRs, liver biopsy, TIF, Cryo, stent placement with over
• Endoscopy experience required
