OR Support Service - Environmental Services (FT, Days)

The OR Support Servicer is a non-licensed person working under the supervision and guidance of surgical services staff. The Aide acts as an assistant person, handles supplies, equipment and transports patients as necessary to promote basic care. The Aide, through active participation, assists in ensuring quality patient care in the Surgical Services area.

EDUCATION / LICENSE / CERTIFICATION:

• High School graduate or equivalent
• One year previous Health Care experience required
• Prior experience as Surgery Aide

EXPERIENCE / SKILLS:

• Successful completion of competency based orientation
• Knowledge of use of protective gear, such as face masks and gloves
• Must be able to work in a fast-paced, ever changing environment
• Ability to flex hours and shifts due to performance of certain patient care activities, fluctuations in patient acuity and staff availability.
