Job Description

Under the broad direction of the Executive Director, supports the development and implementation of the overall corporate health product line which includes network access, occupational health and wellness/health promotion programs. The Account Executive will seek new customers and service existing customers to assure continued market penetration.

Job Summary:  Under the broad direction of the Executive Director,  supports the development and implementation of the overall corporate health product line which includes group health, occupational health and wellness/health promotion programs.  The Account Executive will seek new customers and service existing customers to assure continued market penetration.

Minimal Acceptable Job Qualifications

Licensure:  N/A

Experience:  Three to five years of experience related to contracting and healthcare related sales or services

Education:  Bachelor of Science Degree in Marketing, Sales, Business Administration or related field.  BS degree may be waived in lieu of 5 to 7 years of related experience. 

Registration/Certification:

Job Knowledge & Skills: 

  • Requires strong working knowledge of health care options, health insurance for self-funded employers, third party payor procedures, contract negotiation and sales techniques, as well as associated methodologies including fee for service, discounts, managed care options and capitation. 
  • Knowledge of occupational health/workers’ compensation and health promotion programs/services is desirable..
  • Requires an extremely high level of analytical, organizational and public relation skills necessary to identify employer program needs and coordinate with integrated delivery system members.  Maintains a visible, progressive approach in order to achieve established business development goals.
  • Demonstrates an extremely high level of interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written, to establish and maintain an effective liaison role with all integrated system members and appropriate others.
  • Demonstrates working knowledge of the English language, verbal and written.
