MRI Technologist - Weekdays/2nd shift, FT

POSITION PURPOSE

The MRI Radiologic Technologist, under the supervision of the Radiologist, is required to perform routine MRI procedures and invasive MRI procedures. The Technologist must exhibit expertise in patient care based on patient’s needs appropriate for the infant, pediatric, adolescent, adult and geriatric patient.  The Technologist must utilize good public relations and decision-making skills to incorporate patient education and professionalism and adhere to the commitment of quality exhibited by Tennova Healthcare - Cleveland.

POSITION QUALIFICATIONS

Education:

Associates Degree in Applied Science (Radiology) or graduate of an approved program of Radiologic Technology as evidenced by verification of ARRT database.  

Diploma or transcripts required upon hire.

Experience:

One (1) year MRI experience preferred. 

Licenses/Certificates:

American Registry of Radiological Technologists (A.R.R.T.).  BLS certification required (AHA or Red Cross).  

General Responsibilities:

Observe professional ethics in maintaining confidential information acquired concerning the personal, financial, medical, or employment status of patients at Tennova Cleveland and their families.

Must follow and enforce accepted safety practices for patients and hospital.

Participate in Performance improvement activities.

Communicate in an acceptable and easily understood manner.

Educates and adhere to patient bill of rights.
