RN-Float Pool-FT

The Float Pool RN provides flexible, supplemental nurse staffing through out multiple facility nursing units. The Float Pool RN maintains competency in multiple nursing areas including at least one (1) critical care area and/or labor & delivery. Responsible for the delivery of safe, effective, and quality patient and family centered care throughout multiple nursing units. Roles during this phase of care focus on assessing the patient and developing a plan of care designed to meet the physical, psychological, educational, and sociocultural needs of the patient and family.

Graduate of a nursing program.  Bachelor's Degree is preferred.  Two (2) years of clinical nursing experience is required. Clinical experience in a minimum of one (1) critical care nursing area is required. Critical care is defined as Emergency or Intensive Care programs. Current Mississippi RN licensure is required. BLS and ACLS certifications are required. Additional unit specific nursing certifications are required for each area of competency.
