RN Manager - ICU

Evaluates assigned patients and plans, implements and documents nursing care. Assists physicians during examinations and procedures. Performs various patient tests and administers medications within the scope of practice of the registered nurse. Promotes patients' independence by establishing patient care goals and teaching patients and families to understand conditions, medications, and self-care skills. Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Performs a variety of tasks. A wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected. Typically reports to Director/System Administrator of unit/department.

About the job:

• Plans and implements the overall nursing policies, procedures, and services for a unit
• Maintains nursing staff by recruiting, selecting, orienting, and training clinical staff
• Ensures that nurses are current in competencies, assessments, licensure, certifications, and other annual training
• May provide direct patient care and is responsible for assessing, planning, and evaluating patients
• Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals
• Performs a variety of tasks
• Leads and directs the work of others
• A wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected. Typically reports to top management

Requirements:

• FL RN License
• Must be a registered nurse with at least 5-7 years of clinical experience in a related field
• Familiar with a variety of the field's concepts, practices, and procedures
• BLS and ACLS Certifications
