Mammography Tech -FT-Day Shift

Responsible for obtaining diagnostic quality mammogram images according to pre-established guidelines. Schedules and observes time-management techniques according to departmental productivity and efficiency standards while observing a quality patient care experience.

Responsible for obtaining diagnostic quality mammogram images according to pre-established guidelines. Schedules and observes time-management techniques according to departmental productivity and efficiency standards while observing a quality patient care experience.

Education: Graduate of a radiographer program; completion of eight (8) hours of digital mammographer training; forty (40) hours of training in mammography; performance of twenty-five (25) mammograms under direct supervision of MQSA qualified individual.

Experience: One (1) year of clinical Mammography experience in an acute care and/or high volume (200 mammograms/24 month period) setting is preferred.  

Certificates: Licensure in Medical Radiation with the state of Mississippi is required. Registration with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) in Mammography (or within 9 months of hire into the department).

BLS Certification is required.
