Job Description

Performs manual and automated laboratory tests, including identification and sensitivity testing in Microbiology. Prepares specimens for microscopic examination. Operates laboratory equipment including instruments, centrifuges, incubators, computers, and refrigerators. Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Performs a variety of tasks. Familiar with standard laboratory concepts, practices, and procedures.   Reports to the Microbiology General Supervisor and other Lab Leadership.
Education REQUIRED:  Associate degree from an approved MLT program
 
Experience REQUIRED:  Successful completion of clinical rotations in an approved MLT program
Experience PREFERRED: Microbiology
Licenses/Certificates REQUIRED:  ASCP or equivalent certification or registration
