Respiratory Therapist - PRN

Assists in the diagnosis, treatment, and management of patients with pulmonary disorders. Collects and analyzes sputum, blood, and breath specimens to determine levels of oxygen, carbon dioxide, and other gases. Also measures the lung capacity of a patient to determine if there is impaired function. Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals.

The Respiratory Therapist is responsible for direct/indirect patient care in ECC, Cardiac and Med/Surg floors and other areas as assigned. Promotes and maintains patient care through the implementation of physician's orders and department protocols; assisting with special procedures, ventilator management, performing arterial cannulation, Supervisor, Charge Nurse, Staff Nurse and Physician are informed of all patient care issues/problems in a timely manner.
