Responsible for design, development, implementation, and analysis of technical products and systems. Performs engineering design evaluations. May develop a range of products. Recommends alterations to development and design to improve quality of products and/or procedures. Relies on limited experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Performs a variety of tasks. Works under general supervision. Typically reports to a supervisor or manager. A minimum of 2 years maintenance experience is preferred. Job Summary:
Under the supervision of the Physical Plant Supervisor, they have primary responsibility for accomplishing corrective maintenance and additions and alterations to the Hospital Physical Plant and typical mechanical and electrical plant systems, relamping and door control adjustments. Has primary responsibility for accomplishing and recording physical and mechanical plant work order requests as assigned by the Supervisor of the Physical Plant. Corrective type repairs to restore buildings and mechanical plant equipment to its original or normal condition includes, but is not limited to, repairs of office equipment such as furniture, lighting and similar items, repairs to housekeeping and nursing support equipment, minor carpentry work and electrical work such as replacement of patient area light bulbs.
Able to run and test equipment (i.e. generator, boilers, chillers, motors). Able to complete fire drills, participate in disaster drills. Able to close out documents on the computer software system.

Supervised by: Director of Plant Operations
Education: High school graduate, GED or 3 years relevant experience. Post high school vocational/specialized training.
Experience: Three (3) years’ experience
Licenses/Certifications: CPI Training Preferred
