Responsibilities

• Assists surgeon during operative procedures by passing instruments, medications, dressings, etc., and often provides retraction assistance. 
• Inventorying sterile set-up as needed. Previous surgical scrub experience and/or completion of a surgical scrub tech program required.   
• Strong knowledgebase of surgical instrumentation and sterile technique preferred.   
• Assists in preparing and moving patients and in cleaning the operating theater.
• Reports to a charge nurse or nurse manager.
• Previous surgical scrub experience and/or completion of a surgical scrub tech program required.
