Supervisor Sterile Services

To function as a responsible member of the Central Sterile Processing Department in cleaning, packing, sterilizing and restocking instruments and supplies for those areas of the hospital in which they are required. Responsible to Staff nurses, Charge Nurse, Director of Surgical Services and Chief Nursing Officer. Interrelationships with all ancillary departments are essential. Responsible for the distribution of some supplies and equipment throughout the facility.

sterilizing and restocking instruments and supplies for those areas of the hospital in which they are required. Responsible to Staff nurses, Charge Nurse, Director of Surgical Services and Chief Nursing Officer.  Interrelationships with all ancillary departments are essential. Responsible to Staff nurses, Charge Nurse, Director of Surgical Services and Chief Nursing Officer.  Interrelationships with all ancillary departments are essential. Responsible for the distribution of some supplies and equipment throughout the facility. Provide guidance and support for other SPD and Anesthesia Techs in the department. The SPD Supervisor will work with the SPD and Anesthesia Tech teams to ensure each
teammate is competent to perform all duties in SPD- such as decontamination, correct tray assembly, and
sterile processing of all instrumentation used in the operating room. In addition, these duties include, but not limited to OR Suite Turnover and terminal cleaning or rooms when needed.
